I found a pocket bike!
I saw it at the curb around 1pm and said if it was still there after dark I was grabbing it. Upon my return it was surrounded by trash and cans so I grabbed it.
It's missing a rear brake caliper and line and the pull start. The shaft on the pull start side is threaded. So I found a nut that fits and spun it with a drill and it has compression. I pulled the gas tank and spark plug and it has spark. The oil looks brand new and topped off. Slightly gassy smelling but that's to be expected.
I drained the carb and gas tank.
Pretty sure I have a brake cable that will fit and the caliper is $15 on Amazon.
The pull start is missing but I can get that, it's the matching engine engagement plate that it the problem.
I'll try using a ratchet to start like a kick start but I may rig up a pull rope start and give it a squirt and see if it fires before I clean the carb.
Than the question of what to do with it next comes in.
First thought was weld some ape hangers on the handle bars and add in an old set of bicycle foot pegs on the front fork.
The other thought was make my own racing cooler.
